OUTRUN DIABETES

Starting on May 19th, 2012, Doug Masiuk will begin to run across the continental United States. He has lived with type 1 diabetes since 1977. He will begin in San Francisco and finish in New York. He will run for four months, stopping in America's towns and cities to speak to children, adults and those suffering with this disease.

There are more than 28 million diabetics in the U.S. Every nine minutes there is another diagnosis. The CDC and the World Health Organization consider diabetes an epidemic. By 2035, one in three Americans will have the disease.


Doug wants to motivate, educate and inspire people to better their health by sharing his story and get a country to OUTRUN DIABETES!
