Newer Analogs are expensive. Part of what keeps me going and has been the case for years is reps provide me insulin. The problem is when there are no options. With no insurance there are limited options. Insulin has increased in price several hundred percent in the last several years. For people with no insurance this puts us in a tough place. Just requites more testing and an understanding of the dynamic of food to insulin to exercise dynamic.

The day's ride:
For the past two days it was little miles out of Demming, NM. Really thought we would be here forever! Sorry Demming, I was able to break through!
I reset the map image for the day (removed previous and choose a new map I just created) No way I can make it to the ocean for the 14th. Have to be ok with this. More excited to have been able to work through a pretty significant and painful injuries and get better to carry on.
I will need to add about 6 more days. I am either finishing Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Still trying to get groups / govs involved in the end. The Santa Monica Mayors office has an interest. If no one has interest there is a chance of Finishing in San Diege (shorter distance and chance of having someone show up for the end).
During one of the breaks today as Ben and I were sitting in the van we saw some flags up on the off ramp. Three bikers. They had left LA in the beginning of October and were riding through to Florida. We talked for a while. I really liked there kitty litter container panieners. I didn't have the heart to show them my bag less bike or the true length of Texas.
Since Sunday my legs have been useless. Insane craps, which caused blood sugars to go erratic and overall attitude suffers from it all. Today rode over 60 in headwinds over 30 miles an hour. Legs felt much better and actually capable.
And rode in a place that I thought was amazing and beautiful. Between the NM and AZ border. Gravel, sand, trains, and far off purple mountains. One of the coolest places I will ever ride.
